In the northern desert of Kuwait, U.S. First Recon Marines prepare to invade Iraq as the “tip of the spear” for Operation Iraqi Freedom. The cast includes Col. Stephen “Godfather” Ferrando (Chance Kelly, HOMELAND), the raspy-throated Commander of First Recon, a writer nicknamed Scribe (Lee Tergesen, THE AMERICANS) from Rolling Stone magazine, Team Leader Brad “Iceman” Colbert (Alexander Skarsgård, HBO’S TRUE BLOOD), driver Ray Person (James Ransone, HBO’s TREME), and Lance Cpl. Under orders to consider any Iraqi carrying a weapon hostile, Bravo busts north towards Nasiriyah, where Alpha Company is skirmishing at a bridge outside the city. Prompted by an anxious Major General Mattis (Robert John Burke, NURSE JACKIE), Ferrando orders Bravo to cross the Euphrates the next night, but they end up entering Nasiriyah by day, driving through the city with minimal gunfire, except for an  AK-47 assault by Platoon 3 leader “Captain America” McGraw (Eric Nenninger, KICKIN’ IT) on an empty car.

LOVE CHILD is a documentary about a South Korean baby named Sarang who died of malnutrition in 2010. The death of a child is always horrific, but the circumstances leading up to this one were even more shocking; Sarang died because her parents were playing games online.

As they scope a tiny hamlet, the men of Bravo are frustrated by the capricious nature of the war, and Colbert struggles to defend the actions of the higher-ups. First Recon finally gets a chance to use their skills and exploit some intelligence from Iraqi locals about an ambush at a bridge ahead.
