9 p.m. –TRANSPORTER – THE SERIES – Season 2, Episode 1 of 12 – *Season Premiere*

In Rome, the12-year-old son of an Italian judge witnesses his father‘s murder at the handsof a contract killer. As the sole witness, the boy must now give evidenceagainst his father‘s killer. But there are threats against his life and he isin hiding at a safe house in Germany. The trial is due to take place in Rome, sothe boy needs Frank (Chris Vance, PRISON BREAK, DEXTER) to protect his life anddeliver him safely to the court house to testify.

 

10 p.m.–TRANSPORTER – THE SERIES – Season 2, Episode 2 of 12

Frank and Caterina(Violante Placido, The American) travel to a mine in the midst of theSaharan Desert to deliver a briefcase – the contents unknown to them. Theirclient has insisted the briefcase be handcuffed to Caterina. Having made thedelivery, they find themselves stranded by an encroaching sand storm, forcingthem to stay the night. However just as they begin to question the contents ofthe case – seemingly cash to pay salaries, a massive explosion rips through themine.

In this CanadianScreen Award-nominated film from director Emanuel Hoss-Desmarais, adown-on-his-luck snow plow operator accidentally kills a man in the harsh,wintry woods of rural Québec. Stricken with panic, he hides the body and takesto the deep wilderness in hopes of outrunning both the authorities and his ownconscience. Starring Thomas Haden Church (Sideways), Anie Pascale (Martyrs), andMarcLabrèche(Days of Darkness).

Frank and Caterina areasked to rescue a wounded aid worker, Zac Preston (Tyler Hynes,Immortal), from a warlord in Mauritania. Zac is in hiding and hislocation is unknown. Caterina reveals to Frank that Zac is actually a formerboyfriend of hers. She feels guilty that Frank has taken such a dangerous andcomplicated job on her behalf.

 

10 p.m.–THE AFFAIR – Season 1, Episode 1 of 10 *Series Premiere*

Noah Solloway(Dominic West, THE WIRE) has escaped the city with his family to his in-laws’estate in eastern Long Island. He’s joined by his loving wife Helen (MauraTierney, ER) and their four precocious children. At the same time, local Montaukwaitress Alison (Ruth Wilson, LUTHER) struggles with her husband, Cole Lockhart(Josh Jackson, FRINGE), to move past a recent tragedy. In a chance encounter,Noah and Alison meet and connect. But in this bucolic beach town, it’simpossible to avoid someone you yearn to see again.

Inspector Tarconi(FrançoisBerléand, The Chorus)arrives with a SWAT team at avilla in rural Belarus, looking to arrest Anatole Reichenberg (Vlad Ivanov,Snowpiercer), a counterfeiter whose fake medicines have killed manychildren. As the SWAT team searches the house, Tarconi finds himself locked ina room with leaking gas. The police are corrupt and have conspired withReichenberg to kill him, making it look like an accident. With Tarconistruggling to escape, the house explodes.

To celebrate Halloween, The Movie Network presents achilling lineup of frightening films all day long. Films include GRAVEHALLOWEEN, HAUNTER, THE POSSESSION, MAMA, THE CONJURING, SINISTER, and EVILDEAD. At 9 p.m., subscribers can catch the network premiere of the musicalhorror film, STAGE FRIGHT, centred on a musical theatre campthat’s terrorized by a blood-thirsty killer, starring Minnie Driver (GoodWill Hunting) and Meat Loaf (Fight Club).
