TORONTO (January 4, 2019) – CTV is once again home to television’s biggest event broadcasts of the year. It all begins this Sunday, Jan. 6 with THE76th ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE® AWARDS airing live across the country at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app (check local listings). Co-hosted by Canadian actress Sandra Oh, star of Bravo’s KILLING EVE, and actor/comedian Andy Samberg, THE76th ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE® AWARDS celebrate the best in television and film and is the first in a series of must-see events airing this winter on CTV.
Front and centre for all of the red carpet action this winter is CTV’s ETALK, ushering viewers into the golden season with exclusive GOLDEN GLOBE access as the only Canadian outlet with a platform position on the GOLDEN GLOBE red carpet. ETALK Anchors Ben Mulroney and Danielle Graham report from L.A., delivering exclusive one-on-one interviews with Hollywood’s elite, while ETALK’s L.A. Correspondent Liz Trinnear brings all the dish from the HBO after-party. Viewers are invited to follow along live on @etalkctv for the most buzzed-about moments on the carpet as they happen and join the conversation using #etalkredcarpet. The fun begins with a special Instagram Stories interactive pre-show on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 5 p.m. ET, and wraps with a special post-Globes edition of ETALK, airing Monday, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. ET/PT, featuring A-list red carpet interviews, and a recap of the night’s biggest winners.

The new year also kicks into high gear on CTV with the NFL postseason, including NFL Wild Card Weekend (Jan. 5 – 6), followed by coverage of the Divisional Round (Jan 12 – 13). The NFL Playoffs continue with the Conference Championships (Jan. 20), which determines who will book their ticket to Atlanta for SUPER BOWL LII (Feb. 3). Then, as award season continues, CTV is where Hollywood’s most anticipated and glamourous night in film comes to life with the 91st OSCARS® airing Sunday, Feb. 24 live across the country at 8 p.m. ET on CTV, CTV.ca and the CTV app (check local listings). The perennial most-watched entertainment broadcast of the year starts with Canada’s live red carpet special, ETALK AT THE OSCARS, as anchor Ben Mulroney covers the red carpet, while anchor Danielle Graham, and ETALK and THE SOCIAL’s Lainey Lui report from the exclusive balcony position for a birds-eye view of Oscar’s red carpet.
