  TORONTO (January 8, 2016) – Final data confirms the two-night premiere event of the galactic drama THE EXPANSE (December 14 and 15) reached nearly 1.4 million total viewers across all airings on Space. The debut episode on Dec. 14 at 10 p.m. ET delivered a whopping 517,000 viewers, making it the fourth-highest series premiere in Space history. The exciting debut followed a successful, multi-platform non-linear launch of THE EXPANSE with more than 238,000 viewers sampling the debut episode on, Space’s Facebook and YouTube pages, and via an initiative with mobile app Shazam. On Twitter, #TheExpanse has been a top Canadian trend every week since the Dec. 14 premiere.
