CJAD 800 Returns to Lac-Mégantic One Year After the Tragedy

One year after the tragic train derailment, which resulted in the loss of 47 lives, News Talk Radio, CJAD 800 returns to Lac-Mégantic to update listeners on how the community is recovering.

Special reports - beginning June 30, CJAD 800 will air reports on various aspects of the anniversary including: the psychological impact, reconstruction efforts, and commemorative events. The reports air daily on THE ANDREW CARTER MORNING SHOW, Monday to Friday, from 5:30 – 9 a.m.

Live broadcast - on July 4, THE AARON RAND SHOW will broadcast live from the Centre Sportif in Lac-Mégantic from 3 – 7 p.m. The show will feature key decision-makers in the community as well as survivors and witnesses. A 2013 AARON RAND SHOW broadcast, from Lac-Mégantic, won a national award from the Association of Electronic News Managers (RTDNA).

CJAD.com - CJAD 800’s on-air content will be complimented by a special section on the station’s website, CJAD.com. The section will include news articles, audio reports, photos, and videos from before, after, and one year later.
