MONTRÉAL (September 22, 2014) - Virgin Radio's Shave to Save is back! From September 29 to October 30, Virgin Radio 96 will once again kick off its annual tradition of shaving heads, creating awareness, and raising money in support of the Québec Breast Cancer Foundation.
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Virgin Radio 96 invites Montrealers to put their heads together to help raise funds among their colleagues, friends and family. Participants are asked to commit to shaving their heads in a gesture of solidarity for those with breast cancer. People interested in participating in Virgin Radio's Shave to Save can sign up at virginradio.ca.
Virgin Radio 96 morning host Natasha Gargiulo is the spokesperson of this event’s 14th edition that, to this day, has raised over $5 million.
The event’s grand finale will be held on October 30, from 3 to 6 pm, at the Fairview Pointe Claire shopping center. Drive host Mark Bergman will broadcast this very special event, during which shaved hair will literally be piling up. Several prizes will also be raffled off throughout the day, to those who have donated over $200.
