TORONTO (October 8, 2014) – DAILY PLANET jumps off the edge of a cliff during “Adrenaline Junkies” Week, beginning Monday, November 3 at 7 p.m. ET on Discovery. Join co-hosts Ziya Tong and Dr. Dan Riskin as they meet up with some of the gutsiest people on the planet who risk it all for the ultimate thrill! From extreme sports star Jean-Yves Blondeau’s attempt to conquer a hazardous rain-soaked road in the French Alps (flat on his stomach at ridiculous speeds); to Rainer Wilke, the world’s most famous aerobatic helicopter pilot trying to master his most dangerous and gravity-defying trick – Canada’s favourite science show presents the people accomplishing the planet’s most extreme physical feats.

- Jean-Yves Blondeau – This charismatic personality has invented a one-of-a-kind suit and been featured in films starring Jim Carrey and Jackie Chan. DAILY PLANET follows Blondeau’s attempts to conquer a hazardous rain-soaked road in the French Alps.
- Rainer Wilke – The world’s most famous aerobatic helicopter pilot struggles to master an elaborate and dangerous manoeuver called the Pinwheel.
- Lutz Eichholz – Lutz Eichholz is Evil Knievel on the one-wheel unicycle and he’s upping the ante by attempting to descend Mt. Damavand – Europe’s largest active volcano.
- Christina Saenz de Santamaria – Champion free diver Christina Santa Maria and her husband, Eusebio, have mastered exploring the underwater world on a single breath for minutes at a time. Now they’re attempting something few have before – a world record Tandem Free Dive!
