Please contact with interview requests. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KEY STORYLINE: Located on the outskirts of Brockville, Ont., Grenville Christian College was once an elite private boarding school, but now sits empty after closing its doors in 2007. This week, W5 investigates troubling claims of decades of abuse – psychological, physical, and sexual – from former students attending the school from the 1970s through to the 1990s. Promising the practice of Anglican tradition for day students and boarders from kindergarten to high school, with a focus on academic excellence, love, and Christian teaching, some insist Grenville was a school of hurt, shaming, and abuse. W5’s Victor Malarek speaks with former students and staff, uncovering painful stories of intimidation and alleged abuse that left scars that haven’t healed. W5 also examines the $200 million class action suit against Grenville on behalf of hundreds of former students seeking justice for alleged systemic abuse and unorthodox religious practices at the hands of staff.
