TORONTO (May 7, 2014) – There's something about darkness that awakens human primal fears. For children, nightlights keep the boogeyman away, but by adulthood people learn that hiding under the covers is no defense against true evil. Investigation Discovery's new 10-part series DEAD OF NIGHT, premiering Wednesday, June 4 at 9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT, shines light on nighttime crimes in which darkness hides predators starved for a midnight attack. Told through interviews with loved ones and law enforcement, each episode of DEAD OF NIGHT recounts the dark deadly deed and the daytime investigation that follows.

What’s lurking in the shadows?  DEAD OF NIGHT premieres June 11 on Investigation Discovery

From an aspiring dancer, to a college student, and a business man, these victims could have never imagined crossing paths with a killer and tragically losing their lives before sunrise. As leads dry up, the best hope for justice lies in saliva, blood, or the trace of mysterious hair.
