“You have to protect it.” GAME OF THRONES Returns With a Vengeance on April 14 on HBO and Crave
— January 14, 2019
The GAME OF THRONES teases won’t stop coming, but unlike the topic of winter, we’re not complaining about it. Last night HBO released its newest tease, “Crypts of Winterfell,” announcing Season 8 of GAME OF THRONES will premiere Sunday, April 14. The news comes exactly one week after HBO’s release of its 2019 First Look, which featured unseen footage from the final season of GAME OF THRONES.
The suspenseful tease follows the living Starks – Jon, Sansa, and Arya on an unsettling walk through the Winterfell crypts and was directed by David Nutter, who won an Emmy® in 2015 for the Season 5 finale “Mother’s Mercy.” Additionally, the tease includes an original score by Ramin Djawadi, who won an Emmy® in 2018 for the Season 7 finale, “The Dragon and the Wolf.”
Season 8 of the award-winning series includes six episodes and airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT beginning April 14 on HBO and Crave.
