Young Canadian Soccer Stars Take the Stage on TSN During the 2018-19 CONCACAF NATIONS LEAGUE QUALIFIERS, October 16

TORONTO (October 10, 2018) – Canadian soccer fans will get a glimpse of some of the country’s top up-and-coming talent, as the Canadian Men’s National Team hosts Dominica in its first home game of the 2018-19 CONCACAF NATIONS LEAGUE QUALIFIERS. Airing live on Tuesday, October 16 at 7 p.m. ET on TSN2, TSN and TSN Direct subscribers can also enjoy the CONCACAF NATIONS LEAGUE QUALIFIERS on TSN.ca and the TSN app.
The qualifiers determine the seeding for the group phase of the inaugural Concacaf Nations League taking place from September 2 to November 19, 2019, as well as a spot in the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup. The Concacaf Nations League Qualifiers are the first step toward eligibility for the 2022 FIFA WORLD CUP QATAR™.
Canada’s young squad features eight players aged 21 or younger, including 17-year-old Alphonso Davies of the Vancouver Whitecaps, who was awarded Best Young Player at the Concacaf Gold Cup in 2017 and recently signed a MLS record-setting transfer deal to Bayern Munich FC. In addition, stars from top professional clubs around the world complement the exciting lineup, including players from Barcelona, Liverpool, KAA Gent, Juventus and Beskitas.
